I identify as Desi (South Asian) and am a cis woman who uses she/her pronouns.  I am a transracial and international adoptee which has shaped my identity and world view.  Being a woman of color and an adult adoptee has helped me better understand the complexity of identity and how I show up in the world.

I graduated from the University of Minnesota Morris in 2002 with a BA degree in Sociology and American Indian Studies.  After a 12 year break from being a student, I made the decision to go back to get my Master's Degree in Counselor Education and graduated from NDSU in 2018.

I have lived in Moorhead for 20+ years. I live with my husband and two cats.  I enjoy traveling, cooking, reading and spending time outside.
